PRIVACY POLICY
Catch Them Cats is a game. It is not a data business. We do not ask for your name, email, address, phone number, photos, contacts, or location, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone. This page explains the small amount of data the game does handle, and why.
What the game collects
Your leaderboard entry. If you submit a score, the nickname you typed (max 12 characters — make one up, we'd prefer you did), your score, and your difficulty are stored so the global leaderboard can exist. This is public by design: that's the whole point of a leaderboard. Your device is identified by an anonymous Firebase ID that is not linked to any real-world identity, and exists only so one device owns one row per board.
Advertising. The game shows an occasional full-screen ad after a game over, served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to select ads and to measure them. Where the law requires it (the EU, the UK, and Switzerland), you are shown a consent screen on first launch and Google only personalises ads if you agree. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Google's handling of this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Buying the Support Pack removes ads entirely.
Purchases. The Support Pack is processed by Google Play and validated through RevenueCat. They tell us that a purchase happened so we can unlock your content. We never see or store your card details — nobody sends us your card details, and we would not want them.
Crash and stability data. Google Play may report anonymous crash and performance data to us. This is standard for every Android app and helps us fix what is broken.
What the game does not collect
No location. No contacts. No microphone. No camera. No photos. No account sign-up. No email. Your coins, skins, high scores, and settings are stored on your own device and are not uploaded anywhere.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has submitted a nickname to the leaderboard, contact us and we will remove it.
Your choices
- Don't want to be on the leaderboard? Don't submit a score, or use a nickname that isn't your name.
- Want a leaderboard entry deleted? Email us and we'll delete it.
- Want no ads? Buy the Support Pack, or play offline.
- Want everything gone? Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
Third parties we use
- Google Firebase (Firestore, anonymous Auth) — leaderboard storage
- Google AdMob — ads
- Google Play Billing & RevenueCat — purchases
